Is FiraPhone a Skype replacement?
FiraPhone is designed to replace the Skype dial pad job: calling landlines and mobiles from a computer. It is not trying to replace every Skype chat, meeting, or community feature. If you need quick paid calls to real phone numbers from a browser, that is the core use case.
How does browser-based calling work?
FiraPhone uses WebRTC technology to enable voice calls directly from your web browser. Simply allow microphone access, enter the number you want to call, and click call. No downloads or installations required - it works on current versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.
What are your rates for international calls?
Our listed destination rates start at £0.02/minute. You can view the current standard rate for each supported destination on the pricing page and use the calculator before adding balance. All pricing is in GBP (£).
Do I need to sign a contract?
No contracts whatsoever! FiraPhone is completely pay-as-you-go. Simply add prepaid calling balance when you need it and use it whenever you want. Unused balance remains available as long as your account is active.
